Abstract Submission

Submission Guidelines
​

• Abstracts must be submitted using the online submission link via the website.

Please do not fax, mail or email your abstract as it will not be considered.

• All abstracts must be submitted in English.

• The names and affiliations of all authors should be included in the abstract.

• Abstracts are limited to a maximum of 300 words (excluding title and affiliations).

• The abstract title is limited to a maximum of 25 words.

Abstract Changes

You can edit the abstract up until the deadline date, once it has been submitted.

Keep note of your username and password which will allow you to re-enter the system.

​

The presenter will be notified in due course whether the abstract has been accepted; and if for oral or poster presentation.

 

All presenters must pre-pay their registration fee and need to present physically (there will be no zoom presentations).

​

All submitted abstracts will be reviewed for acceptance based on their scientific merit.

Poster Instructions
​
Posters will  be presented  on  poster boards
​

Please see below the technical details for preparing your poster:

  • Posters should be prepared on one sheet.

  • ​Poster boards are in portrait format.

  • All the material necessary for attaching the poster to the poster board is available onsite.

  • The size of your poster should not exceed 150 cm high x 80 cm wide. 

  • Title and author(s) of your poster should appear at the top of the poster in bold lettering

  • All text and illustrations should be easy to read from a distance of 2 meters.

Instructions for Oral Presentations​

​

If using a PowerPoint presentation (or any other PC based application), please note you need to bring it on a USB Memory stick and load it on the Congress computer in the session hall at least 30 minutes before the start of the session.

Please note that the Congress computer in the session hall is being supplied with the native ratio of the projection on the screen is 16:9

 

If combining video films with PowerPoint, please provide the embedded video clips in addition to the Presentation and avoid using on-line Video clips. Moreover, please make sure to check the Presentation with the embedded Video clips in the session hall during a coffee or lunch break prior to your session, at least 30 minutes before the start of the session.

 

You are asked to only use the Congress computer in the session hall for presentation purposes. The Congress will not be able to support lecture slides presented on personal computers.

 

Important note for Macintosh users:

In order to show MAC presentations on a PC compatible computer please note that you need to prepare it according to the instructions below, before bringing it to the technician in the Hall:
 

  1. Convert it to PowerPoint or PDF.

  2. Use a common font, such as Arial, Times New Roman, Verdana etc. (special fonts might be changed to a default font on a PowerPoint based PC).

  3. Insert pictures as JPG files (and not TIF, PNG or PICT - these images will not be visible on a PowerPoint based PC).
